Join Niagara Geopark for the first talk in our Speaker Series, featuring Dr. Julia Baird (Brock University).&nbsp; Climate models for the Niagara region show changing patterns of water availability, the potential for greater flooding and erosion along our shorelines, and degraded water quality. Often, these models fail to move people &ndash; the impacts feel far in the future and many of us fail to connect personally what can seem like vague, uncertain problems. Empathy is a promising psychological &lsquo;tool&rsquo; we can use that moves us past these barriers to take action for a better, more resilient water future. The ways in which the Water Resilience Lab at Brock is exploring the potential of empathy will be shared, along with concrete actions audience members can implement in their lives to use and promote empathy in support of a sustainable water future.
