Novembre, la première pièce de théâtre de Porte Parole, est née de la matière brute de ces entrevues. À l’occasion du 25e anniversaire de Novembre et de Porte Parole, nous avons demandé à deux jeunes artistes, Aude Seppey et Marc-Antoine Morin, de reprendre le fil de cette enquête. À l’instar d’Annabel et Alex, ils ont été à la rencontre de leurs concitoyen·ne·s pour explorer l’état actuel de la démocratie québécoise et voir ce qui a changé — ou non — depuis un quart de siècle. Nous vous invitons à nous rejoindre le 9 février au Monument-National, là même où Novembre a vu le jour. In 1998, during Quebec&rsquo;s provincial election, Annabel Soutar and Alex Ivanovici hit the road to ask a deceptively simple question: what does democracy mean to Quebecers? The journey led them across the province, gathering voices and stories that would become the raw material for Novembre, Porte Parole&rsquo;s very first documentary play. To mark the 25th anniversary of both Novembre and Porte Parole, we invited two young artists, Aude Seppey and Marc-Antoine Morin, to follow that thread into the present day. Like Annabel and Alex before them, they went out to meet their fellow citizens, testing the pulse of democracy in Quebec and asking what has changed &mdash; and what hasn&rsquo;t &mdash; since 1998. On February 9, we&rsquo;ll return to the Monument-National, the venue where Novembre premiered in 2000. Aude and Marc-Antoine will join Annabel and Alex on stage to share their findings, and to open a conversation between two generations.
