Welcome to Oh So Goode Music! Welcome! My name is Jennifer Thivierge, and I am so glad you are here.I have been singing and playing music for over 30 years, and teaching music for 25 years in both school settings and private lessons. Music has been a meaningful part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I love helping students discover confidence, creativity, and joy through singing and beginner piano.My own musical background includes many genres, including opera, musical theatre, pop, jazz, and country. I have competed in many music competitions and have earned my Royal Conservatory of Music designation in voice. I have also directed several local choirs, including the Ottawa South Youth Choir, Ottawa South Adult Choir, Broadway Show Choir, and, new this year, the Ottawa South Children&rsquo;s Choir.As an educator, I have worked with students in music, history, and drama classrooms. I also have experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including through my work as Executive Director of the Lotus Centre for Special Music Education. I believe every student learns differently, and I try to create lessons that are encouraging, flexible, and suited to each individual child, teen, or adult.At Oh So Goode Music, lessons are designed to be supportive, engaging, and personalized. For younger students, I use a play-based approach that helps them explore music in a fun and natural way. For older or more advanced students, lessons may include vocal technique, musicianship, performance skills, theory, Royal Conservatory preparation, or working toward personal musical goals.I especially love working with students who are nervous, unsure, or believe they &ldquo;cannot sing&rdquo; or are &ldquo;too old&rdquo; to start. Many students arrive feeling uncertain, and it is a joy to help them build confidence over time.
