WAIVER OF RECOURSE, ACCEPTANCE OF RISKS AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT. I hereby understand and acknowledge and agree that participation in rowing involves certain risks and dangers, which include, but are not limited to, cold weather, water, risk of drowning and/or hypothermia as well as the risk of collision. In consideration of my request to engage in a rowing/pairing activity, accompanied or unaccompanied (meaning with or without a speedboat), using personal or Club equipment, I agree not to hold responsible the Club, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers or agents (including coaches) for any bodily injury, moral injury, death and/or damage to property.I further agree and admit that:-I have read the safety checklist posted in the shed and assume responsibility for reviewing said list regularly for any changes or additions;-I acknowledge and affirm that I can swim;-I am familiar with and understand the hazards associated with cold weather and water, especially hypothermia and how to deal with it if an accident occurs;-I agree to stay up-to-date on special activities and programs going on at the Club. Also, to be respectful of the regulations established by the Club;-I agree to immediately notify the base manager of the club or, in his absence, a Club official, of any incident brought to my attention. Also, with regard to any obstruction or situation in or on the water and near the banks;-.I undertake to reimburse the costs incurred caused by any negligence on my part.- I hereby release, and to never acquit the Club, its directors, officers, employees, volunteers or agents (including coaches) of any injury, death, loss or damage to my person or property, however manner in which it was produced, following or in connection with rowing/pairing activity, on the water or ashore, although such injury, death, loss or damage to my property may be attributable to or be relating to the negligence of the directors, officers, employees, volunteers or agents (including coaches) of the Club and this, in my own name, in the name of my heirs, my liquidators of succession, administrators and legatees*

I agree that any recognized major violation of the Club's code of conduct may result in the cancellation of my Club membership, if voted by the Board.*

The Lachine Rowing Club respects very strict health guidelines, but cannot be held responsible for the spread of contagious diseases, including COVID-19. I accept and understand that Public Health may reintroduce social distancing measures in order to fight a pandemic and I will not hold Aviron Lachine liable if the service I purchase must be modified, delayed or cancelled.*
