Kaykima Wilderness will be offering 3 classes for our students to learn essential skills to surviving in the wild.&nbsp; Each class has a separate sign up so please pay attention to the tickets you purchase and read the descriptions of the classes below. Classes are for ages 5+ and run from 1-3pm&nbsp; Class will take place at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie. Parents are encouraged to join in and help their children and learn alongside them.If you have younger children please feel free to stick around and play at the park while your older kids are learning. &nbsp; Class #1 Monday November16FirecraftStudents will learn the art of lighting fires with tinder, kindling and fuel, how to build a triangle fire and also practice using ferro rods.&nbsp; Class #2 Monday November 30Bushcraft TorchesStudents will make and light torches using all natural materials. They will learn about Spruce trees and how the sap from these trees can be used for torches. Class #3 Monday December 14Basic Wilderness SurvivalStudents will learn what to do in emergency survival situations. They will also learn the art of shelter building.&nbsp;
