Light Up Your Life Tri-Community Palliative/Hospice Care Society&nbsp;is proud to once again host Palliative Care Training for Community, facilitated by Alberta Hospice Palliative Care Association. This two-day, in person training follows the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association Training Program which is recognized across Canada.&nbsp; It will give volunteers, caregivers and interested community members the confidence to provide quality support services in any setting, whether that is in hospice, care center&#39;s or a private home. &nbsp;This training offers practical tools for supporting people facing serious illness, loss, or end‑of‑life care. Learn how to listen, respond, and walk alongside clients, family members, friends, or neighbours with confidence and care. This is a required course for anyone who is interested in volunteering in Westview Hospice, Stony Plain. This session reflects our mission at Light Up Your Life Tri-Community Palliative/Hospice Care Society: to ease the journey for those in palliative, hospice, and continuing care, to provide comfort, care and support. By taking part, you help build a community where no one has to navigate this time alone.
