Learning & Development SeriesEffective Team Building for Small Organizations A team isn't just a group of people who work together. It's a group of people who trust each other. In small publishing houses, magazines, and literary organizations, where everyone wears several hats and deadlines don't move, how well your team works together can make or break a season. In this interactive session, Mikhael Bornstein, The Philanthropic Leader, presents the twelve characteristics of effective teams, grouped into six themes: trust, inclusion, clarity, communication, results, and growth. For each theme, you'll get practical exercises you can bring back to your team. You'll also learn what you can do as a leader to build each theme, whether you manage a team of three or thirty. Participants will leave with a step-by-step guide and template for creating a team charter, which can speed up team development. They'll also receive a professional development plan template. Come ready to participate. This session includes small-group breakout discussions with peers from across the industry.
