Weightlifting has gained popularity in recent years for its immense physical health benefits&ndash; but an emerging body of research shows equally exciting benefits for neuroplasticity and emotional recovery from trauma.&nbsp; In this workshop we will delve into the how and why of weight lifting as a mind-body healing practice&ndash; from reducing chronic inflammation to supporting healing from PTSD/CPTSD and addiction.&nbsp; Challenging the oppressive narratives in today&rsquo;s fitness culture, we will approach weightlifting as a highly adaptive practice for bodies of diverse sizes and abilities, including demonstrations of foundational movements in weightlifting and common modifications. &nbsp;
