LXCL:PARTY ON!

Advance

Hey there Pals and Queerdos, welcome to QUEERDOPALOOZA: an East Van Pride Party! In the spirit of uniting queers and allies to celebrate our differences and revel in our love for the weirdos of all kinds, we welcome you to the wonderful WISE hall for a fabulous summer evening of musical delights that will have you dancing and carousing all night long. Like your high school dance of freaks and geeks- but older, wiser, sluttier. There will be games! A photo booth! Featuring amazing performances by: BATTY BANKS- my favourite drag performer, hands-down. Hilarious, smart, acrobatic, charming...I could go on but words barely do her justice- just know it will be performance not to be missed. Blows the roof off every time. https://share.google/3WHxHpzjrQnebAilX HYAENAS- high power music played on real instruments by real ladies! A force to behold. Hooky, infectious, pulsing synths and gritty guitars. Perfect tunes to make eyes at your crush on the dancefloor! https://hyaenasband.com/videos DEVOURS- I don't use the word gay icon loosely, but dammmn- the looks, the hooks, the body hair. WOOF. Devours has it all. I often find myself singing his bonafide synth-laden pop gems in the shower. He's funny too. But it's cleverly ensconced in his pro production, precise spectacle and sing-along choruses. https://devours.bandcamp.com/track/loudmouth BOSS SAINT B- The Boss is here to lay down the law and bring the brutal honesty wrapped up in a dance party. Fresh from her most recent work with the inimitable Peaches and the potent Quanah Style amongst other incredible artists we encounter queer hip hop at its finest: cutting, precise, vulnerable, celebratory- Boss is just what we need for times like these.https://soundcloud.com/bosssaintb SHIRLEY GNOME- Shirley is a diva that uses her incredible skill like a weapon of comedy. She would slay the competition- if there was any! Absolutely one of the funniest people I know. A frequently recurring joy of mine is watching people see her show for the first time and knowing their faces hurt from laughing so hard. Tits up, tits out, Shirley brings the party.https://youtu.be/jLBxoa7Rqh8?si=DALhdlrkJqr_59xjDJ RHONDA HUNTE- playing disco hits of today, yesterday and... tomorrow? Rhonda never fails to make me feel happy every time she is around- a perfect mix of impeccable taste in music and finely honed experience bring the whole dancefloor together. Absolute floor filler and sing along anthems- what more do you need in a party master matriarch? HANK PINE-that's me! I will wear a bunch of outlandish outfits while singing original dance pop tunes and do hip hop with BOSS and DJ OPPTIMUS PINE. I have a new album coming out the day before, stoked to debut those songs and dance the night away. I can definitely guarantee good hugs and good times.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URxQDynLKCU Everyone welcome!!! No one turned away for lack of funds or even sexual orientation. I might even have nametags at the door. Forced friendship, just the way us introverts like it. This party will take place on the unceded, stolen ancestral territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. All the love, Hank.
