Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre’s Raise the Curtain for Kids! program helps make that experience accessible to children and youth who might otherwise miss out. Each year, CCDT provides 2,000 sponsored tickets for students from Toronto’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods and schools to experience professionally produced contemporary dance at the beautiful waterfront Terminal Theatre, formerly the Fleck Dance Theatre. Performed by emerging young Canadian dance artists, CCDT’s repertoire offers young audiences a special connection: the chance to see people close to their own age expressing ideas, telling stories, and creating something extraordinary onstage. With your help, CCDT aims to provide 500 sponsored admissions dedicated to children and youth from schools in Cabbagetown and Regent Park—a $15,000 value. The impact is best expressed by one Grade 6 student:“If you ever do a show again – I will be there! Now I know to sign up for dancing.” Your support can help more young people discover the joy of live performance—and perhaps an interest or ambition they never knew they had. Whether through a financial contribution or a donation to our fundraising silent auction, you will help us raise the curtain for more children in our community. Thank you for considering a gift and helping make the performing arts accessible to the next generation. CCDT Charitable Registration Number: 119218816RR0001
