Explore Vancouver&rsquo;s Chinatown through the lens of design, community, and possibility. Join Women in Architecture Vancouver for Re:Chinatown, an intergenerational mentorship experience bringing mentors and youth together for a guided neighbourhood walk followed by a collaborative design charrette. Together, we&rsquo;ll learn from Chinatown&rsquo;s past and present, observe its streets and spaces, and consider how heritage, density, and community shape the neighbourhood today. Through conversation, sketching, and the exchange of perspectives, participants will explore how underused spaces might support new activity and more inclusive public spaces while respecting the cultural history and communities that make Chinatown what it is. Mentees aged 15&ndash;21 who are curious about architecture, design, cities, or the built environment are invited to participate and connect with working professionals. Mentors will be invited directly by a WIA member and can register using the mentor registration option below. No design experience is needed.
