LXCL:Entry is $25 per participants. For teams of two, each participant must register separately.

General Admission

Refurby Derby is a hands-on, community event where individuals and teams refurbish bicycles. The event promotes skill-building, sustainability, and fun competition, while supporting affordable access to cycling and bike education. Participants (solo or in pairs) have three hours to asses, repair and restore a donated bike. Afterward, judges score each build in the following categories: <ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Diagnostics Accuracy</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Parts Selection</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Repair Quality &amp; Safety</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Efficiency</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Style Points</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Demerits for incorrect or unnecessary parts</li></ul> The evening includes space for spectators, light refreshments, and time to connect with others in the cycling community. Entry is $25, and all refurbished bikes go back into community use.If you&rsquo;re ready for a winter evening of grease, grit, and good company, the Derby is waiting. 🚲✨ **Please be aware of the additional charge added by Zeffy at check out. This money does NOT go towards New Hope Community Bikes. You can opt out by choosing the &#39;other&#39; option.** Spending of funds is confined to approved programs and projects. Donations received in support of a specific program or project will be used as designated by the donor with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met or cannot be completed for any reason determined by New Hope Community Bikes, the remaining amount of the donation will be used where most needed. A contribution toward New Hope Community Bikes&#39; general operating support will be included in gifts received for specific programs and projects. Donors will receive a charitable tax receipt for gifts of $20 or more.
