To mark International Women&rsquo;s Day 2026, Kapisanan Philippine Centre for Arts &amp; Culture, Migrante Ontario, and Kamalayan Konsciousness invite you to a powerful 2-hour, in-person, multi-generational community conversation. Moderated by Waynes Manalang (radio host, activist), this dialogue brings together:&bull; Dr. Ethel Tungohan (researcher and migration scholar)&bull; Jennilee Austria-Bonifacio (writer and storyteller)&bull; Wilma Delo (community organizer and activist) Together, they will examine the realities facing migrant women in Canada and Filipino women in the Philippines &mdash; from labour migration and care work to state violence, family separation, and grassroots resistance. This conversation will move beyond analysis. Our speakers will share lived experiences, research insights, and frontline organizing work that illuminate both the structural challenges migrant women face and the powerful ways Filipina/x communities continue to resist exploitation, build solidarity, and reclaim their narratives. Across academia, the arts, and community organizing, this event will:💜 Center Filipina/x voices shaping migration, care, and feminist movements💜 Bridge generations through dialogue between youth leaders and long-standing organizers💜 Strengthen solidarity across Toronto&rsquo;s Filipinx arts, academic, and grassroots networks💜 Create space for community reflection, connection, and collective action Join us for an evening of critical insight, courageous storytelling, and shared commitment to justice. Because honoring International Women&rsquo;s Day means not only celebrating Filipina/x leadership &mdash; but standing in solidarity with migrant women everywhere. All donations received from this event will go towards organizing similar events with the same partner organizations.
