The event will feature a screening of the documentary Russia vs. Lawyers by director Maria Novikova, followed by a zoom Q&amp;A and discussion with the filmmaker. Through the stories of courageous human rights lawyers who defended people persecuted by Putin&#39;s regime&mdash;and who, in many cases, later became political prisoners themselves&mdash;we will reflect on the human cost of repression and the importance of standing together.The evening will also include remarks from special guests, readings of letters from political prisoners, and a letter-writing session. Whether you have written before or this is your first time, we will provide everything you need to send a message of solidarity to someone imprisoned for their beliefs.
