LXCL:Admission is free for these birding walks, but donations are welcome at the event! Meet at the front door of the Boreal Centre to meet your LSLBO guide. Come early to enjoy a FREE pancake breakfast before you head out.

Enjoy the beautiful spring songbirds of the boreal forest on one of our Songbird Festival Birding Walks. Walks will be departing from the Boreal Centre every half hour from 7:00 am to 8:30 am.&nbsp; Join one of our LSLBO members on an informal guided walk along the Trans Canada Trail to discover some of the spring migrants arriving in the boreal forest.&nbsp; The birding walks will head down to the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory and include a tour of our monitoring programs. Distance to the lab is a 2 km along a gravel path/road with the option of catching a bus back from the lab after the tour.&nbsp; Registration for the birding walks is free, but we encourage you to provide a donation to the LSLBO during the event. All proceeds from the Songbird Festival support our amazing avian monitoring programs!

We do have extra binoculars to rent if you need a pair for the walk. &nbsp;We also recommend that you arrive a bit early to enjoy the free pancake breakfast in the morning!
