Operation Royal Flush is a poker shoot fundraiser supporting Veterans in our communities. It is organized and administered by the Canadian Military Tourism Association in partnership with the Veterans Association Food Bank. Shooters get seven rounds to hit a card target and build the best five-card poker hand they can — a mix of marksmanship, strategy, and a little luck. The strongest hand of the night takes home a $1,000 cash grand prize plus a sponsored Poker Hand Winner's Prize, with a shoot-off if hands are tied. We'll also recognize Top Shot (closest to centre) and our good-natured Worst Shooter Award. Entry levels: Mission Kit ($100) includes your range pass, safety equipment, and Field Mess access; Redeployment ($50); and the Top Shot Challenge ($20). Proceeds are shared between the Veterans Association Food Bank and the 49th Battalion, The Loyal Edmonton Regiment Association supporting Veterans today through food security, community connection, and direct assistance — while also helping preserve their service and stories for tomorrow.
