Nathan Smith (fiddle) returns to Balfolk Toronto with Kyle Kirkpatrick (guitar, dobro), fellow member of celebrated bluegrass and roots unit The Barrel Boys. As a duo, Nathan and Kyle play driving instrumental music for Contra, Square, and Balfolk Dances. Bandmates for over twelve years, these two musicians share a deep and intuitive sense of groove, and bring their fiery instrumentalism to their favourite traditional European tunes and Nathan's original dance tunes (some of which we've previously loved dancing to in Nathan's other band Vinta).
