Doors + music by Hazza + food by Howaida: 6 p.m. Screening: 7 p.m. The screening will be followed by a collective discussion with Duha and Razan in french, english and arabic! About the film: France, Sudan, Germany, Chad, Qatar • 2019 • 93 minutes • Color, DCP. In arabic, with english subtitles. Set in Sudan during the popular revolution against military rule, this documentary follows four retired filmmakers trying to reopen a free outdoor cinema. Except these friends, in their seventies and eighties, have neither money nor equipment. The obstacles they overcome are both hilarious and heartbreaking. Suggested donation of  $15/pay what you can at the door. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. We will have Sudanese food by Howaida with vegetarian options, a vegan cake and drinks. 👼🏾 We strongly recommend that you continue to test negative before the event. Please stay home if you feel unwell. N95 masks will be available if needed. The space is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible from the outside.
