If you&#39;ve ever wondered about life on a farm in Northern New Brunswick during your grandparents&#39; time...The Downs will paint that picture for you. &nbsp;Life before washing machines and phones. &nbsp;Life before television and internet. In a lot of ways, it was much simpler...but in other ways...extremely difficult. Millie Johnson has a knack for making you feel right at home, like you&#39;re sitting in her kitchen or front porch, sipping a spot of tea, while she regales you in her unique storytelling style. She will have you splitting your side in laughter one moment, then fighting back tears the next. You&#39;ll shake your head and wonder, how in the world did they do it? Then you&#39;ll realize, our ancestors knew the meaning of hard work in ways we never will. &nbsp;Our grandparents laughed, loved and lived simply, but fully with what they had.
