RSVP for Bus Charter to the People&rsquo;s Summit/Protest Sept. 14th&nbsp; The Peterborough Kawartha New Democratic Party&nbsp;is organizing a bus to Toronto as part of &nbsp;&ldquo;The Many vs the Money&rdquo; Protest taking place on Monday, September 14th at 6 pm (If we are unable to fill a bus, we will help arrange car-pooling/GoTransit and attend as a group). We will join a broad swathe of movements, communities, and organizations to gather en masse for a major rally, march and protest against Carney&rsquo;s &ldquo;Investor Summit&rdquo;, starting at Nathan Phillips Square at 6 PM.&nbsp;_________ While there is also a counter-summit being organized by the&nbsp;Council of Canadians,&nbsp;8th Fire Rising, and World BEYOND War&nbsp;at OCAD University, September 12-14, our organizing efforts will focus on chartering a bus to the Monday protest with the hope that a number of civil society groups and labour organizations from this area will join us united in solidarity..<a fr-original-style="" href="https://canadians.org/event/a-peoples-counter-summit-the-many-vs-the-money/" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">&nbsp;</a> From the summit organizers: &ldquo;Doug Ford, Mark Carney and one hundred of the Prime Minister&#39;s closest asset manager buddies are meeting in Toronto in September for an &quot;investment summit.&quot; But what they are really planning is a privatization bonanza.
