Prince, C.M., PhD Emeritus Lansdowne Professor of Social Policy University of Victoria. In 2024, Michael was appointed a member of the Order of Canada. The citation noted he &ldquo;is a social and public policy expert who has made significant contributions to disability rights in Canada. He has advised federal, provincial, and territorial governments and served with four Royal Commissions. An esteemed mentor, he is highly regarded for his activism and advocacy of inclusion and accessibility.&rdquo; He retired from the University of Victoria in 2025.&nbsp;
