Celebrate the start of the festive season with friends and family at the St. George’s Society of Toronto’s Christmas Dinner, a cherished holiday tradition set in the enchanting surroundings of the Arts & Letters Club. We are delighted to welcome The Honourable Edith Dumont, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Patron of the Society, who will be joining us for this special evening. The festivities begin with a complimentary welcome drink, courtesy of the Society, as we gather for a convivial cocktail hour with friends, both old and new. Guests will then be ushered into the beautifully decorated Great Hall for an exquisite three-course dinner, thoughtfully prepared to capture the spirit of the season. The evening continues with traditional English-style plum pudding accompanied by eggnog crème anglaise, mince pies, and freshly brewed tea and coffee. We will conclude with a joyful celebration of the season, featuring beloved Christmas carols and festive music. Black tie or elegant evening wear is requested. Gifts for Red Door Family ShelterIn keeping with the spirit of giving, the Society is proud to support the Red Door Family Shelter this Christmas by collecting gifts for children aged 10 to 14. We invite guests to bring new winter essentials and clothing, such as mittens, hats and sweaters, to help make the season brighter for young people who may be less fortunate. Please bring your gift wrapped and labelled with the intended age and gender, where appropriate. The Society will ensure that all donations are delivered to the shelter. The Silent Auction Returns! Our much-anticipated annual silent auction returns, offering an enticing selection of unique gifts and delightful finds just in time for Christmas. All proceeds will support the St. George’s Society’s charitable mission and ongoing programmes. Would you like to contribute an item or experience to the auction?
