In a team of around 4-5 students, students will work to frame a real-world design problem using a requirements model, diverge and converge on potential solutions, and present their final design, competing against other groups to come out on top! Students will also get tips from a University of Toronto Engineering Professor who has taught APS111, as well as the opportunity to speak with a representative from the Engineering Recruitment Office about the admission processes, requirements, and scholarships.&nbsp; Students are encouraged to bring a personal device (laptop/tablet)&nbsp;if they have access to one. However, this is not mandatory. We will configure WiFi access to allow students to connect to the internet. No specialized software will be needed.&nbsp; As an added bonus this year, the top 8 teams at UTHSDC will be promoted and given permission to participate in the University of Toronto Engineering Kompetitions (UTEK) January 10th-11th to compete with 1st and 2nd year UofT Engineering students solving a similar style problem as they did in UTHSDC!
