November 2026 to May 2027 | Online | Members Only Join the West Kootenay Fibreshed for a winter reading circle as we explore With Her Own Hands: Women Weaving Their Stories by Nicole Nehrig. Through stories of women across cultures and generations, Nehrig explores how textile making has been a means of self-expression, cultural preservation, community building and resistance. Over seven months, we'll make our way through the book, reading one chapter each month and gathering online to discuss the stories, ideas and questions it brings forward. By taking our time, we'll create space for thoughtful conversation, shared reflections and connections to our own experiences with textiles. This is not a formal study group, and you don't need any particular knowledge of textiles or history to participate. Come with curiosity, your thoughts and questions, and perhaps a bit of handwork! Gathering DatesAll gatherings take place online on Thursdays, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM Pacific Time.

November 26, 2026 | Chapter 1

December 17, 2026 | Chapter 2

January 21, 2027 | Chapter 3

February 18, 2027 | Chapter 4

March 18, 2027 | Chapter 5

April 15, 2027 | Chapter 6

May 13, 2027 | Chapter 7

Please read Chapter 1 before our first gathering on November 26.
