CLASS DESCRIPTIONOpen-ended movement explorations as well as choreographed phrase material will guide us in refining our sensory perception and developing our understanding of our unique body mechanics. In the pursuit of a wide spectrum of movement qualities and the capacity to freely choose between them, we will ground our study in cultivating efficiency in movement, attention to detail, lightness in our mindset, and easefulness and joy in the process. BIOFrancesca Frewer&nbsp;is a contemporary dance artist living as a grateful guest on the unceded, ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.&nbsp;Francesca&#39;s practice celebrates movement as a continuous flow of perception, action, observation, and response which invites us to into a more intimate experience of ourselves and the present moment. Encompassing &nbsp;contemporary dance, improvisation, contact improvisation, and The Feldenkrais Method, her practice and her dance classes use attention to sensation and listening to pursue efficiency, precision, and refined awareness.Francesca has been a company member of EDAM Dance since 2021. She has worked with Antoine Berger &amp; Joep Dorren, Company 605, Emmalena Fredriksson, Company Saint Genet, Future Leisure, and Evann Siebens, among others. She creates performance works in various collaborations as well as independently, most recently with Lőrinc Muntag in D&uuml;sseldorf, Germany, and ongoingly with Alexa Mardon &amp; Erika Mitsuhashi.
