Sculpting a Good Idea into a Great Book Many book manuscripts suffer from a lack of thorough development. This can stand in the way of their potential for success, or even prevent them from being published. In this interactive session, award-winning novelist and writing coach Gail Anderson-Dargatz explores the steps and strategies of development editing that help turn a good book idea into a great book. All levels of writing and stages of a project are welcomed. Gail Anderson-Dargatz taught for nearly a decade within the MFA program in creative writing at the University of British Columbia and now works as a writing coach and developmental editor for writers around the world. She also hosts a fall writing retreat at Sorrento Centre, BC. The praise from authors for her editing help with their novels includes Leila Marshy (The Philistine), Tara Gereaux (Wild People Quiet), and Christine Fischer Guy (The Instrument Must Not Matter). These and other testimonials can be found at https://www.gailanderson-dargatz.ca/cms/index.php/mentoring-and-editing/blue-pencil-sessions Your registration supports the Greenwood Centre for Living History in preserving this historic house, caring for its artefacts, and sharing three centuries of French and English stories with the local community.
