Chapel Barn Theatre Festival is a celebration of theatre, storytelling and community in the heart of West Devon. After 3 years of performing a new theatre show to the local community, we hosted our first ever theatre festival in Summer 2026, with 4 professional shows created by local artists. Nearly 100 members of our local community from Milton Abbot, Sydenham Damerel, Tavistock and Launceston came together for an unforgettable weekend of theatre, storytelling and entertainment. We have big plans for a festival in 2027, including a new production of a classical play, directed by award-winning director Selwin Hulme-Teague (director of The Well of Loneliness&nbsp;and Squidge). But first we need your help to make this festival come to life. As part of our dedication to bringing high-quality, professional theatre to our community and an unforgettable audience experience, we pay all our artists and actors a fair wage. There are also costs to run the festival, such as insurance, a bar license and marketing. Chapel Barn is a converted barn and community space in Milton Abbot. It was built and incorporated as a community-interest company by Giselle Hulme and James Teague, dedicated to engaging the community with arts, wellbeing and nature.As&nbsp;a grassroots organisation with a small income and no public funding, our plans to fund the festival through box-office income and charity donations is not quite enough.&nbsp; That&#39;s why we&#39;re coming to our community to help us raise &pound;1,000 to bring the festival to life. Thanks to our fundraising platform, Zeffy, every penny you donate will go towards Chapel Barn Theatre Festival 2027.
