After the phenomenal success of Birmingham's first-ever Dussehra Mela in 2025, where over 1,000 members of our community came together for an evening none of us will forget, Dusshera Mela 2026 !!! On Saturday 24th October 2026, we return to Sutton Coldfield Recreational Trust for an even bigger celebration of Vijaydashmi: a 25ft Ravan effigy and fireworks finale, Ram Leela, Ganesh Vandana and Ram Darbaar, a Heritage Mela of regional dance from across India (Bhangra, Dandiya, Bengali, Telugu, Gujarati and more), a traditional Indian bazaar, food stalls and family entertainment for children and elders alike. Last year our elders told us: 'We have not seen such an atmosphere in the UK in over 40 years' and 'This feels like being back in Bharat.' That is the spirit we are building on this October, and we cannot do it without you. Your donation directly funds:1. The 25ft Ravan effigy and the Ravan Dahan fireworks display2. Stage, sound and lighting for Ram Leela and cultural performances3. Venue hire, security and safety arrangements at Sutton Coldfield Recreational Trust4. Subsidised entry so no family is priced out of joining the celebration more info :https://suttonparivaar.org.uk/dussehra-mela How you can help power our mission:1.
