SOSEMTCC FUTURE FACILITIES FUND 🏏 Help us invest in the future of cricket at Southchurch Park. Southend-on-Sea &amp; EMT Cricket Club continues to grow. We now have four Saturday teams, Sunday cricket, a thriving youth section, a rapidly developing girls&rsquo; section and a growing women&rsquo;s team.Now we want our facilities to grow with us. The SOSEMTCC Future Facilities Fund has been created to help us invest in long-term improvements to the club and Southchurch Park, providing better cricket facilities for our players today and for future generations. OUR FIRST MAJOR TARGET: PERMANENT CRICKET NETS Our first goal is to help fund proper, permanent, caged static cricket nets at Southchurch Park.This is something the club has already been working hard to make a reality. We have been engaging with the council, exploring the requirements for the project and working with local representatives, including welcoming Bayo Alaba MP to the club to see our facilities and discuss our plans.The ambition is there. Now we need to start putting the funding behind it. THE YOUTH SECTION IS KICKING THINGS OFF!More than 30 of our young cricketers are taking on the Nuclear Wild Forest obstacle course as part of our Youth Challenge &amp; End of Season Awards Day. They&rsquo;ll be running, climbing, crawling through mud and getting thoroughly filthy &mdash; all while helping us kick-start the Future Facilities Fund! The club is covering the cost of the event so every child can participate completely free of charge. In return, those who want to are collecting sponsorships to help support the fund. EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCEWe&rsquo;re a volunteer-run community cricket club. Nobody is making money from SOSEMTCC &mdash; the money we raise goes back into supporting the club, our players and our facilities.We&rsquo;re not expecting to raise &pound;50,000 overnight. We just need to start somewhere.&pound;5, &pound;10, &pound;20 or &pound;100. A sponsored challenge. A fundraising event.
