What is 14/48?14/48 is a speed theatre festival, 14 plays are written, directed, scored, designed and performed within a 48 hour period.&nbsp; Why 14/48?We aim to engage new audiences and develop both emerging and experienced artists and theatre makers via a shared experience of the festival. Giving artists of all backgrounds a level playing field to make work together, breaking down existing hierarchies, removing access barriers and forging new collaborations. Around 65 Artists are engaged in each weekend of the festival. They are challenged to simply create, and to trust their fellow artists to create. Your donationAny funds you donate to 14/48 UK helps to create opportunities for artists to participate in the festival. We don&#39;t charge artists to take part in the festival, and have no core funding. Each festival requires funds for spaces, artists refreshments, insurance, props and costumes.
