The Friends of the Ipswich Museums is supporting the 250th anniversary Constable Exhibitions in 2026 in various ways and we are delighted to announce that we are fundraising for &pound;3k through our Angels Campaign to restore the important and beautiful Constable cello at Christchurch Mansion. Expert instrument restorers been commissioned for the work and we plan to organise a special Angels event (and indeed others) when the reinvigorated cello will be played.&nbsp; The 250th anniversary of Constable&#39;s birth in 2026 is such a special year and we want you to be part of the celebrations. &nbsp; An unexpcted legacy has kickstarted this campaign with a &pound;500 donation and every subsequent donation, no matter how small or large, will bring us closer to achieving our mission.
