Help Us to Save Ryde Hive CIC Ryde Hive CIC has been given until 26th October to raise £10,000, or we will be evicted from all three of our spaces on Ryde High Street. We have just 10 days, and we can’t do it without you. Who we areRyde Hive CIC is a community interest company at 132–134 Ryde High Street, made up of three neighbouring spaces:

Ryde Thrift Hive, our community charity shop, serving between 100 and 200 customers every week

Ryde Learning Hive, where we run courses and one-to-one support

Ryde Community Hive, a space for everyone in Ryde, young and old

We offer a free Monday evening recovery workshop for anyone struggling with addiction of any kind, whether that’s alcohol, drugs, gambling, shopping or any other habit or behaviour. We also provide space for NHS addiction services, work placements through the Jobcentre, and a welcoming place for anyone to drop in, Monday to Saturday.Ryde Hive CIC was started by someone with 25 years of lived experience of addiction, who knows first-hand how much a place like this can change, and even save, a life. Why we need your helpSince opening in February, we have worked incredibly hard to build Ryde Hive CIC, almost entirely through volunteers. Like many new community projects, we have not yet received the grant funding we have applied for, and our income hasn’t yet caught up with the costs of running our premises. We have fallen behind on our rent, and we have now been told that unless we bring it up to date by 26th October, we will have to leave.Exactly where your money goes

£7,275 by 26th October brings our rent fully up to date, including this month’s rent for 133 and 134 due on 21st October

£750 by 7th November covers the rent for 132, our Ryde Thrift Hive shop

The remaining £1,975 will help Ryde Hive CIC stand on its own two feet. Together with income from our shop, part of it will be kept as a buffer for future rent. The rest will go towards fully kitting out our Ryde Learning Hive, so it can host free workshops for the community and be rented out, bringing in a regular income to keep our doors open

Every penny goes back into Ryde Hive CIC, so we can carry on supporting people in recovery, keep the shop running, and deliver the projects we have planned for our community, including children’s workshops, Christmas decorations for families who can’t afford them, support for homeless people and young carers, and our eight-week recovery course. Every donation countsWhether you can give £5 or £500, every single donation brings us closer. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If you can’t donate, please share this page with your friends and family. Sharing really does make a difference.Ryde Hive CIC is here for Ryde. Please help us to stay here.Thank you from all of us at Ryde Hive CIC 💛🐝
