Broken pieces of plaster and debris litter a wooden floor in the foreground, with a pet carrier and a white wall in the background.

IT'S BEEN A CRAZY COUPLE OF DAYS Thursday night we noticed a huge leak, which quickly progressed to a collapsed ceiling in one of our rooms. The volunteers dropped everything and even turned up in their pyjamas to make sure the cats were ok Thankfully, all our cats and volunteers are safe, although their slippers were a bit soggy, but we now have to temporarily close the affected room until repairs can be carried out. It was a burst pipe. And as if that wasn’t enough, our tumble dryer has broken, and our washing machines are on the brink. With so many cats, kittens and bedding to wash every single day, you can imagine the extra pressure this puts on our already stretched sanctuary.  In the midst of it all, we also took in three little kittens from the streets, and we now need to arrange to trap, neuter and return (TNR) their mum to help prevent more kittens being born into the same situation. With kitten season still in full swing and so many little lives depending on us, it really couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Can you help us? URGENT SHORT-TERM FOSTERS NEEDED – If you can offer a temporary home to one of our cats, please get in touch. You must be pre-approved or complete a foster application form. ANY HELPING HANDS NEEDED – We’re looking for anyone who may be able to help us get our room back up and running, whether you have building skills, repair experience or simply a little time to spare. If you think you could help in any way, please reach out. Every bit of help would mean the world to us. DONATIONS – If you’re unable to foster or lend a hand, even donating just £1 would make a difference. Every single penny helps us continue caring for the cats who need us.We’re a small sanctuary doing everything we can for the cats in our care and after the last 24 hours, we really need our amazing community to help us if you can. We have so many cats and kittens relying on us, and we desperately want to keep giving them the care they deserve. Please share this post, even if you can’t help yourself. You never know who might see it and be able to make a difference.
