Four non-runners, 13.1 miles, one Great cause. If you know Claire, Wil, Phil, or Sophie, you’ll know that the words "marathon," "pacing," and "aerobic capacity" don't usually feature in their day-to-day vocabulary. Yet on Sunday, 13th September, this self-confessed crew of casual plodders is taking on the iconic Great North Run! Why are they putting their knees, ankles, and dignity on the line? It’s simple: they care deeply about raising money for Charlie’s Place, a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and protecting our local wildlife. Every single day, the sanctuary volunteers work tirelessly to give vulnerable animals a second chance, and this team is determined to support that vital work - even if it means a few blisters along the way. Here's the deal: The more money we raise, the faster they'll actually have to run. So if you want to see them finish the race as fast as they can (and avoid any snack breaks along the way!) dig deep and give today. Every single penny goes directly to helping animals at the sanctuary through feed costs, vet bills, hay, straw and more. Two simple ways to help us out:

Donate: Every pound counts. Contribute now to help us reach our goal.

Share: Share our campaign with your friends, family, and on social media. Your advocacy can amplify our impact

Thank you for supporting our mission, your support is invaluable.
