It is a vibrant folk and Morris weekend of dance, which just celebrated its 33rd year. In 2026 it was attended by 50 Morris sides, who processed through the streets of Sheringham - a picturesque seaside town in North Norfolk - and then danced at 14 dance spots throughout the town.<img alt="" width="749" height="749" src="https://images.jg-cdn.com/image//53431953-2349-4bb6-8816-09d227f4d273.jpg" fr-original-style="" fr-original-class="fr-draggable" style="cursor: pointer; padding: 0px 1px; user-select: none; max-width: 100%; position: relative; box-sizing: inherit;">This fabulous event is a great spectacle for residents and visitors, tremendous fun for the participants and a welcome boost for local traders. And events of this kind play an important part in keeping folk and Morris traditions alive. The event is open to folk and Morris dancers and musicians of all ages; the Potty Festival committee is particularly keen on promoting the education and participation of children and young people in folk and Morris dancing, and is working with local primary schools to introduce Morris and folk dancing tuition. Unfortunately, it&#39;s an expensive business to run a large event such as this, and we need your help!As the Chairman of the Potty Festival committee I would be very grateful if you could consider donating to this crowdfunding page, to help ensure the future of this wonderful festival. Donating through Zeffy is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Zeffy - they&#39;ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
