A collage of photos features smiling women and children in yellow shirts, some interacting at tables with the "Happy Mums Foundation" logo, while others are gathered outdoors.

Help us keep maternal mental health support available for local mumsRight now, Happy Mums is at risk of closing. For many of the mums who attend our groups, we are the only mental health support they receive. In fact, 75% of the mums accessing Happy Mums are not receiving support from any other mental health service. Every week, mums come through our doors carrying anxiety, loneliness, overwhelm, depression, birth trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and the many invisible pressures that can come with pregnancy and motherhood. Many arrive believing they are the only one struggling. They leave knowing they are not alone. As one mum told us: "I genuinely don't know where I would be without it."Another said: "They literally saved my life." Why are we asking for help?Demand for support continues to grow, but funding for preventative mental health services has become increasingly difficult to secure.Over the last year, we have supported hundreds of mums through our groups and community outreach work, helping improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build confidence. Despite this, we currently have less than three months of financial reserves remaining. We are applying for funding, developing new income streams, expanding our training offer, and working towards charitable status. We are doing everything we can to secure a sustainable future. But without additional support, local mums could lose a service they rely on. Why £25,000?Our target of £25,000 would help sustain Happy Mums for approximately three months, giving us vital time to:

Continue supporting mums who rely on our groups

Await the outcome of funding applications already submitted

Expand our Parental Mental Health in the Workplace training

Develop new income-generating projects

Complete our transition to charitable status

This campaign is not about funding Happy Mums forever. It is about protecting support for mums while longer-term solutions are put in place. How you can help You can help in two ways:Make a donation – every contribution helps keep support groups running and reduces the risk of vulnerable mums being left without support.Start your own fundraiser – whether it's a bake sale, coffee morning, sponsored walk, challenge event, raffle, school fundraiser, workplace event or community activity, every pound you raise helps. You'll have your own fundraising page and target, while everything you raise also contributes towards our overall £25,000 goal.Every contribution makes a difference

£10 could provide refreshments and resources for a support session

£25 could help cover volunteer expenses and training

£50 could contribute towards facilitator and group delivery costs

£100+ helps keep support groups available for local mums

No donation is too small. Why this mattersWe provide support that helps mums before they reach crisis point. We listen. We understand. We care. And right now, we need your help. With your support, we can continue building a future where every mum has somewhere safe to turn and no mother feels she has to struggle alone. Saving Happy Mums Together

We're taking on Catbells to help save Happy Mums! It's 1480ft high, with some well worn paths and a few scrambles here and there. Supported by the experienced team at Track&Dales CIC, on Sunday 8th November 2026, a group of Happy Mums supporters will be taking on Catbells. More about The Saving Happy Mums campaign: Help us keep maternal mental health support available for local mumsRight now, Happy Mums is at risk of closing. For many of the mums who attend our groups, we are the only mental health support they receive.
