We are delighted to announce that our fifth Industry Leaders Lunch in aid of The Akwaaba Foundation will be held at <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.foundersco.org.uk/hall-hire" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Founders&rsquo; Hall</a> on Tuesday July 7th, with generous support of their in house caterers <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.lifeskitchen.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Life&rsquo;s Kitchen</a>. We have had great feedback on our first four lunches which were attended by a total of over 200 owners and directors of event agencies, caterers and suppliers, creating a valuable networking opportunity in a relaxed atmosphere, well away from our increasingly hectic workday lives.&nbsp; Not only is this the fifth Leaders Lunch, but 2026 also marks The Akwaaba Foundation&rsquo;s 10th Anniversary. To celebrate this important milestone for the Charity, we are delighted to announce that our Co-Founder, Jordan Palmer, will be attending the lunch. &nbsp; We are also holding a silent auction which includes around 25 amazing hotel stays, fine dining, hospitality tickets and other lots generously donated by some of our previous lunch attendees. &nbsp;The link to the auction will be sent out in early June and the bidding will be closing at 5pm on the day of the lunch. The ticket price will be held at &pound;98, with around 50% of the price (all profits) being donated to&nbsp;<a fr-original-style="" href="https://akwaabavolunteers.org.uk/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Akwaaba Volunteers</a>.&nbsp; Following some great (and well attended) morning business sessions, Emilie Thysse from <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.ydtraining.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Yellow Door Training</a> will be presenting a two hour &ldquo;Micro Course&rdquo;: Building a High Performance Culture with Emilie Thysse, Yellow Door Training &amp; Development.&nbsp;This high-impact workshop helps leaders understand the behaviours that drive both high performance and a thriving culture in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Drawing on Emilie&rsquo;s experience working with clients across events, sport, property and law, you&rsquo;ll explore how to balance results with engagement, while building consistency across your team. You&rsquo;ll assess where your team is today, identify clear opportunities for growth and gain practical insight into the leadership habits and behaviours that unlock sustainable performance, so your teams don&rsquo;t just deliver results, they do it consistently, with clarity, alignment and momentum. Emilie has kindly agreed to deliver this valuable two-hour session free of charge, so that a small charge of &pound;50 for the morning can be donated directly to the Charity.
