Alaria CIC fosters outdoor play and connection for families with young children. We provide a nurturing environment where kids can explore nature through hands-on activities, promoting well-being and community engagement.

Children can explore freely at their own pace, with activities such as mud kitchen play, bubble-making, den building, nature crafts and time with animals. Parent & Under 8 Session

🌿 Step away from the noise of everyday life and spend a couple of hours reconnecting with nature, yourself, and others in a welcoming reservoir-side setting. Our Adult Forest School session offers a relaxed, supportive space where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and enjoy the simple wellbeing that comes from being outdoors. Guided by Forest School Leader and mindfulness facilitator Heather Bond from Alaria Community Interest Company, you&rsquo;ll be invited to explore a variety of nature-based activities while enjoying the calm and grounding atmosphere of our beautiful site. What we might explore together(Activities are always optional &mdash; Forest School is about choice, curiosity, and connection.)🧭 Bushcraft skills &ndash; Try your hand at safe tool use, fire lighting, or practical woodland skills.🌿 Nature-based crafts &ndash; Create simple woodland crafts using natural materials.🪵 Campfire connection &ndash; Gather around the fire and enjoy warm drinks.🍃 Mindful nature connection &ndash; Gentle activities designed to help you slow down and notice the world around you more fully.💬 Time to simply be &ndash; Space to relax, chat, paddle in the reservoir, go for a walk, swing in a hammock or sit beneath a tree. Who is this for?This session is for adults aged 18+ who would like to spend time outdoors in a supportive, nature-based environment.
