The Blackpool Fylde & Wyre Filipino Bayanihan Community fosters unity and cultural understanding through events like Barrio Fiesta, supporting local charities while celebrating diversity and inclusion within the community.

&quot;You don&#39;t need to be present to win a prize&quot; Barrio Fiesta is a cultural celebration that brings people together through food, music, and shared experiences. It reflects who we are as a community &mdash; diverse, inclusive, and committed to fostering unity and understanding within Blackpool. Our aim is not only to celebrate our heritage but also to create a welcoming space where people from all backgrounds can come together. The event also has a strong charitable purpose. We are supporting Brian House Children&rsquo;s Hospice and Blackpool &amp; the Fylde Street Angels, with 25% of all raffle ticket sales donated directly to them. Our raffle, funded entirely through community effort, is our main source of income to cover event costs. This is not a profit-making event. In light of increasing division and challenges faced by many communities, we feel a strong responsibility to take positive action. Barrio Fiesta is our way of promoting unity, cultural understanding, and respect. We want to be part of the solution by creating an environment that encourages inclusion and connection.
