LXCL:Break a Leg Academy empowers aspiring actors and directors from working-class backgrounds by providing accessible training and opportunities in the arts. They believe financial hardship should not hinder anyone's pursuit of a career in the performing arts.

Laugh, share, and cheer on our performers at BALA&rsquo;s Improv &amp; Open Mic Night 🎭🎶 This fundraiser helps us to provide the full learning experience offered by staging live performances for our students. We keep course costs low as part of our mission to help as many working class artists into the professional industry as possible.&nbsp; Sign up here to attend, and pop your name down to perform on the night if you fancy it! Every ticket and performance spot directly supports our ability to provide our students with a professional industry standard experience of staging their own work. Makers Fund

Our students showcase their learning in this incredible production of Stef Smith&#39;s Girl in the Machine. A dystopian imagining of our not too distant digital future where real life and digital life become truly questionable.&nbsp; Predeeded by a short scratch event where our students present a series of short works in progress before deciding on nect years programming.&nbsp; Every ticket to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create greater access to actor &amp; director training for the working class. Financial hardship should not be a barrier to anyone wishing to access the arts as a profession. Thank you for supporting us to do what we can in our own small way.&nbsp; * Merch will be available to buy on the night and a prize draw will be on sale at the interval.&nbsp;

BALA is participant led, Community focused. A part-time Drama school in Glasgow on a mission to increase the number of working class artists in our industry. Our Christmas Party is a great way to celebrate all we have accomplished together with our community while raising pennies for our Makers &amp; Kindness Funds. Students, families, friends; anyone who has supported us along the way is welcome to come raise a glass with us and celebrate the holidays together for one night. We hope to see you there!&nbsp;
