Bristol Deaf Padel Group: Special Summer Americano Join us for a fun summer padel event. This special session will use an &ldquo;Americano&rdquo; format and has a Hawaiian/Tropical fancy dress theme. Feel free to wear colourful shirts, flowers, leis, sunglasses, or other summer outfits. 🌴☀️ 👥 Who can join?Open to adults aged 18 and over. Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and BSL users are all welcome. All abilities and all genders are welcome. You do not need previous Padel experience to join. 🎾 What is an Americano?An Americano is a social Padel event where everyone plays lots of short games with different partners and against different people each round. This gives everyone a chance to meet and play with lots of people during the session. Points are added together during the event, so every point matters. 💷 Cost&pound;10 per person (non-refundable).This includes racket and ball hire. ⏰ Limited spacesSpaces are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Bristol Deaf Padel Group 👥 Open to adults aged 18 and over. Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and BSL users are all welcome. All abilities and all genders are welcome. 🤝 Centre for Deaf is pleased to support the Bristol Deaf Padel Group to run Padel sessions. These sessions are partially funded by Avon Tennis and the Lawn Tennis Association, helping to keep costs low. 💷 Cost: &pound;8.50 per session (non-refundable). This price includes racket and ball hire and is only possible thanks to the funding received. 📅 You can book one session, multiple sessions, or all available sessions. ⏰ Spaces are limited, so please book early to secure your place and come along to enjoy the sessions! 🎉

Hard of Hearing Coffee Morning

BSL Taster Sessions Would you like to try British Sign Language (BSL) in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment? This introductory course is for hard of hearing and deafened people who are interested in learning some basic BSL, meeting new people and building confidence using signs. What will you learn?Across the sessions, you will have the opportunity to learn and practise:<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">👋 Deaf Awareness</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">🔢 Basic numbers</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">🤟 Basic BSL signs and greetings</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">✋ Different handshapes and hand positions</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">💬 How to use the signs you have learnt in simple situations</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">📝 Plenty of opportunities to practise your BSL</li></ul>It&rsquo;s a great opportunity to give BSL a try, meet new people and make new friends in a welcoming environment. 📅 Course Information This is a 5-session course.
