The Centre for Rural Ministry empowers rural communities through faith-based support, fostering spiritual growth and social development in the Free Church of Scotland tradition.

The Centre for Rural Ministry is looking forward to welcoming you to In a Big Country: Western Isles&nbsp;on Saturday 26th September. Our theme is&nbsp;The Island Church: Playing to our Strengths, and we hope to encourage all those involved in gospel ministry in the Western Isles and address some of the challenges that we all face. Our keynote speaker is Rev. David Macleod, minister of North Harris Free Church, whose theme is &quot;Equipping God&rsquo;s people for ministry&quot;.&nbsp;&nbsp;Other speakers include Rev. Se&ograve;ras MacGillivray (South Uist and Benbecula Free Church) and Dr Marten Walker (Elder, Stornoway). There will also be seminars on maintaining and renovating church buildings; how Island congregations have supported overseas mission; &nbsp;the role that church history can play in encouraging us in the present - and more! Lunch is included in the price of the ticket, and we pray this will be a helpful and edifying day for all those who wish to see the cause of the gospel prosper in our day.

In a Big Country, Dingwall promises to be a great day!&nbsp; Rev. Stephen Witmer from Pepperell, Massachusetts. He is the author of A Big Gospel in Small Places, and we are very excited to hear about his theology of small places and fantastic insights into ministry in smaller / rural places. &nbsp; We will also have seminars from Women For Mission, our team member Finlay Macdonald (owner of Chocolates of Glenshiel) and others. &nbsp; Lunch is included so booking is essential!&nbsp;
