Wow! You are part of something amazing! Did you know that Dartmoor Search and Rescue Ashburton Team is completely run by volunteers and is funded by public donations? This means that by taking part in this event, or sponsoring someone who is, you are a active part of keeping our emergency service operational and able to search for the lost, missing or injured in Dartmoor and beyond- in fact, where ever we are needed. The Dartmoor Challenge is a self-supported (13.5 miles) half marathon over some of the most beautiful, remote, and challenging terrain that Dartmoor has to offer and we've added five search and rescue style challenge stations to the course! It may be beautiful, but don’t be fooled, this is no ramble on the moor. We couldn’t do what we do without your support- so a huge Thank You from the whole Ashburton Team!.
