Downfall Productions

Downfall Productions fosters community creativity through film, empowering local voices in Edale. Their projects, like 'Stone of Stone,' unite residents to share stories that reflect their experiences and resilience, especially post-pandemic.

The fictional village of Stone is under threat. Stone of Stone follows a group of locals who undertake a daring caper required for desperate times. The story told in this charming film echoes the adventure undertaken to create it by the residents of Edale in the Peak District. As they emerged from the isolation of pandemic restrictions Edale villagers took on a collective creative project that took each individual and their community on a four year journey that resulted in a tender, funny film for our times. Buxton Festival Film Review, July 2026
