Footprints in the Community

LXCL:Footprints in the Communiy supports people living in Redcar and Cleveland to help reduce poverty and isolation and improve health and wellbeing. Our Vision is to ensure that the people of Redcar and Cleveland will be self-sufficient, free from poverty and isolation and have hope for their future.

Carolyn Runs for Footprints On 27th September, Carolyn will be taking on the Redcar Half Marathon, running an incredible 13.1 miles to raise vital funds for Footprints in the Community. Footprints is a local charity working across Redcar and Cleveland to reduce poverty and isolation and improve people&rsquo;s health and wellbeing. Through projects including Redcar Area Foodbank, our community pantries, community caf&eacute;, baby bank, dementia support and wellbeing activities, we support local individuals and families when they need us most. Training for a half marathon takes commitment, determination and many miles of hard work. We are incredibly grateful that Carolyn has chosen to take on this challenge for Footprints. Every donation, no matter the size, will help us continue providing practical support, dignity and hope to people facing difficult circumstances across our community.Please support Carolyn by making a donation and sharing this page with your friends and family. One tin. One route. One community. On Saturday 3 October 2026, we will take on our Tin-to-Tin Challenge&mdash;carrying a single tin of beans on a walking journey across Redcar and Cleveland. Our walkers will visit every Redcar Area Foodbank centre, our warehouse and our Next Step Shops before finishing together at Footprints in the Community HQ in Redcar. The tin represents something simple, but important: when a community comes together, even one small donation can become part of something much bigger. Redcar Area Foodbank supports local individuals and families who are facing financial crisis, hunger and hardship. We provide emergency food alongside a warm welcome, dignity and access to wider advice and support. We want everyone who comes through our doors to feel listened to, respected and reminded that they are not alone.Demand remains high, and we need the support of our community to ensure we can continue to be there for people when they need us most. Every donation to this campaign will help us provide emergency food and practical support to local people experiencing difficult times. You can support our challenge by sponsoring a mile, making a donation or sharing our fundraising page with friends, family and colleagues. You can also join us on the walk or cheer us on along the route. However you choose to help, you will be making every step count.Together, we can help ensure that no one in our community has to face hunger alone.
