Friends of Dobcroft Schools supports Dobcroft Infant and Junior Schools through fundraising activities, enhancing educational experiences, and fostering community engagement to benefit students and their families.

Dobcroft Schools Summer Festival 2026

FoDS are pleased to announce the first quiz night of the year in support of Dobcroft Infant and Junior School, taking place on Friday 30th January 2026. The quiz will be in the style of the Big Fat Quiz of the Year, with questions looking back over the past year. This event promises to be lots of fun, a great value night out, and a fantastic way to kick off fundraising for 2026. <ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">When: Friday 30th January 2026</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Time: Quiz start time 8pm (Doors open at 7.30pm)</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Where: Dobcroft Infant School</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Entry Fee: &pound;15 per team (maximum of 6 people please)</li></ul> BarA bar will be available on the night, selling wine, prosecco, lager, gin &amp; tonic, soft drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. All funds raised will be split between both schools. ImportantWe will aim to have a card machine available; however, the card provider charges a fee per transaction, so cash is preferred where possible. There will be a prize for the winning team, and a raffle will also be held on the night. We hope you can join us for a fun-filled evening and look forward to seeing you there. FoDS Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Get ready for a fun-filled afternoon at the Dobcroft Nursery Infant School Disco 🎵 &ndash; a chance for our youngest pupils to dance, play, and enjoy time with their friends in a safe, familiar space. All proceeds support Friends of Dobcroft Schools and help us enhance classrooms, playgrounds, and creative activities for the children. By booking your child&rsquo;s ticket 🎟️, you&rsquo;re helping to brighten everyday school life for the whole Dobcroft community. Dobcroft Nursery Infant School Disco When: Friday 16th October 2026Time: FS2 and Y1 - 4.30pm - 5.30pm &amp; Y2 - 5.45pm - 6.45pmWhere: Dobcroft Infant SchoolEntry Fee: &pound;5 per child or &pound;6 including biodegradable glitter face paint FODS are delighted to be hosting infant discos before the end of term!&nbsp; There will be two sessions, as above. Important notes: Any younger siblings who would like to join will also need a ticket. Please stay with your child if they are not comfortable being left, or ensure another familiar parent can supervise them. The Y2 session is usually very busy, so we kindly ask parents not to stay with their child if they are happy to be left.&nbsp; A free drink and snack will be provided at the end of each session, and children are asked to bring a refillable water bottle. IMPORTANT: Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis depending on numbers.Closing date for tickets: Tuesday 13th October 2026&nbsp; Disco Safety Rules No playing with the school&rsquo;s equipment in the hall or round the school - All children are to stay inside school at all times. Parents need to sit or stand around the edges of the hall to give the children room to dance - NO food or drink in the hall. Option 1: Donate a gift for the stall and pay &pound;4 for yourchild to buy a gift Option 2:&nbsp;Donate &pound;4 for FODS to buy a gift for the stall andpay &pound;4 for your child to buy a gift The stall will be held Tuesday 16th December in the afternoon during school hours so please ensure all money and gifts are received by the Infant School Office by Friday 12th December. We are excited to be able to hold our Special Person Gift Stall for the Junior School on &nbsp;Friday 12th February.&nbsp; We have chosen this date to coincide with Valentine&rsquo;s Day and allow the children to choose a gift for someone they love. The children love this experience and have great fun choosing a special gift for a family member of their choice - this could be for a parent, grandparent, sibling etc. &nbsp; To ensure everyone who contributes gets to choose a present we do need to limit this to one present per child and parents must follow one of the options below.&nbsp; Option 1: Donate a gift for the stall and pay &pound;4 for your child to buy a gift&nbsp;Option 2: Donate &pound;4 for FODS to buy a gift for the stall and pay &pound;4 for your child to buy a gift (total &pound;8)&nbsp; The stall will be held Friday 12th February, between 10am and 2pm. Please ensure all money and gifts are received by the Junior School Office by 4pm on Weds 10th February. &nbsp; As with all our events we rely on helpers on the day to help support the children. Following the success of previous events, we are pleased to announce that the Year 3 and 4 Disco will take place as follows:&nbsp; Date: Wednesday 4th March&nbsp;Time: 5.30pm to 7pm&nbsp;Entry: Ticket only &ndash; Tickets are &pound;5 and include a drink and a snack&nbsp; Please bring your child to the Junior School main office to be registered for the start of the Disco at 5.30pm.&nbsp; The Disco will include:&nbsp;- A DJ playing loud music in the school hall, most of the lights will be turned off but there will be some bright flashing lights. &nbsp;- Games Room &ndash; this will a quiet space where children can play a game with their friends.&nbsp;- Drink and snack available for everyone (included in the price of the ticket).&nbsp;- Sweet stall (50p/&pound;1). &nbsp; At 7pm please make your way through the DASH gates, near Marjorie&rsquo;s garden, to the back of the hall where you will be able to collect your child.
