LXCL:We specialises in running dynamic weekly&nbsp;KIDZ KLUBS&nbsp;in communities across the City of Brighton &amp; Hove, working in&nbsp;PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL CHURCHES.&nbsp;These clubs are a brilliant mix of&nbsp;FAITH AND FUN!Our vision is to reach and help as many children, young people, and their families as possible, providing exciting activities and opportunities to enable them to&nbsp;THRIVE AND GROW. We seek to show them God’s love and care, regardless of their background and beliefs, especially the more disadvantaged.

Each August Kidz Klub takes about 70 young people aged 11-18 away to The Poplars retreat centre, in the stunning countryside of the Malvern Hills, Herefordshire. Everyone enjoys an action-packed programme of activities, sports, crafts and trips out, lovely food and along with a live band and age appropriate and relevant talks from experienced youth leaders, it&#39;s the perfect time away from often chaotic home lives. The average cost per person is about &pound;300. The vast majority of the young people we work with come from the more deprived areas of the city and so they could never afford the full cost which is why we find inventive ways to raise vital funds to keep this life changing residential affordable for everyone! No one has EVER missed out due to lack of finances, and the young people want to make sure that continues.&nbsp; To raise vital funds the young people, leaders and some family members will be taking part in a Kidz Klub Try-athlon event on 27th June 2026. Split into three events, swimming, bike ride and walk each person can choose which one to take part in and to get as many sponsors as possible.&nbsp; The Swim will be as many lengths as possible in 2 hours.The Bike ride is a 26 mile ride from Newhaven to Worthing and back to Fishersgate.The Walk will be a 13 mile walk from Peacehaven through to Fishersgate. &nbsp; The distance each Try-Athlete completes will be added up with the goal to cover 820 miles which is the length of the UK from John O&#39;Groats to Lands&#39; end!&nbsp;For more details of each event and to find the person you want to sponsor take a look at each of the teams below.
