As you click through the checkout, you'll be encouraged to donate to the platform we're using to collect payment, and it will likely auto select a donation in a dropdown (as the platform has no fees for us as a charity). You absolutely don't have to make any extra payments there though, and can select 'other' and enter 0 as the donation amount. OUR EXCITING PLANS! Limelight Performers are approaching our 6 Anniversary as a charity and 7 year as a group, and in this time we’ve already worked with over 300 participants from the local area, and continuing to grow month to month. We’re very excited to share that we feel that we’re now approaching the time for us to look to open our own premises! This would have rehearsal spaces, props & costume rooms, set workshops, office space, and lots more - and is a really exciting prospect for us! We’re thrilled to be able to work with so many local arts organisations and venues throughout the year (including the New Wolsey Theatre, Dance East, Seckford Theatre, Eastern Angles, Gallery Studio Theatre, St. Peter’s by the Waterfront and so many more) and would continue to do this for our productions - but having a permanent ‘home’ for the local community to join our regular sessions and rehearsals is the dream! We’ve already been to visit one ideal location, but it’s very early days, and even at this point there’s a lot of fees involved in early feasibility studies and investigating options of buildings. This means we’re launching a local fundraiser and would be delighted if you’d like to support. We have two options opening this week which we hope may be of interest for you, and 100% of money donated to both of these will go towards the funds used to support opening this building. It won’t be a quick process, but every penny we can raise makes it a little bit easier!
