Join Maddie&#39;s Miracle raffle for a chance to win big while supporting our mission too!&nbsp; Your participation is not only a chance to win prizes, but also plays a vital role in supporting our services. Funding from this raffle will directly fund our continued UK support of mothers, parents, babies and families. Our online services support mothers across the UK: from London to Cornwall, to Cambridge, Norwich, Derby, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle to Penrith, Windermere, to Edinburgh, Falkirk and beyond.&nbsp; It takes around &pound;10,000 per year ton run our UK-wide online support service, around &pound;13,000 per year to run a physical support group. Plus funding our Breastfeeding Support Bus is around &pound;5,000 for 2027 events.&nbsp; Our goal is to raise &pound;2,000 with this raffle, which will be supported by our grant applications. Our charity provides psychosocial support and evidence-based research expertise in breastfeeding, infant feeding and perinatal health to help families, and to ensure mothers feel empowered and confident with their infant feeding journey. This is done with our network of highly qualified Breastfeeding Counsellors and Lactation Consultant who use evidence-based approaches and counselling techniques.&nbsp; Mothers have called our support services &ldquo;lifesaving&rdquo; and &ldquo;transformative&rdquo; and have praised our service as being vital and essential to them to local Bournemouth councillors. Bournemouth University has sent student midwives to observe and learn from our Bournemouth group. We have had midwives from Bournemouth and Poole hospitals signpost mothers and parents to our services.&nbsp;&nbsp;Breastfeeding, like walking and talking, is a learned skill; the instinct is there but learning how to breastfeed is honed through observing and support. Many women feel an innate need to breastfeed and when difficulties arise such as pain, low milk supply, problems with latch and tongue-tie, it can cause trauma at what is, for many women, the most vulnerable time of their lives.&nbsp; The UK has some of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the world with 80% of mothers stopping breastfeeding before they&rsquo;re ready due to inadequate support. Maddie&rsquo;s Miracle helps mothers to reach their individual feeding goals in a calm, nurturing, and non-judgemental way. Evidence that is backed by The World Health Organisation and UNICEF shows supporting women to breastfeed delivers outcomes including:&nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Reduced risk of childhood illnesses&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Reduced risk of several cancers and other diseases in women&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Reduced risk of postnatal depression and improved mental wellbeing for mothers&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Reduced risk of mortality for premature babies&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Reduced costs for the NHS&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Reduced environmental damage &nbsp;</li></ul>Our charity supports all manner of infant feeding related issues catered to a mother, parents and baby&#39;s needs.
