NOA'S PLACE CIO

Noa's Place supports neurodivergent and disabled children and their families by creating a community hub for inclusive play, workshops, and peer support, addressing the urgent need for accessible resources while families navigate challenging systems.

Today, Noa turns three! Three years ago, our son changed our family in ways we never expected, and in doing so, he became the reason Noa&#39;s Place exists. When Noa was eighteen months old, we knew something was different. Like so many families, we found ourselves navigating a system that&#39;s stretched far beyond its capacity. Long waits, overstretched services, and very little space for the kind of everyday support that gets families through. The people working within it are doing their best against huge demand. But life doesn&#39;t pause while you wait, and we knew families needed something to hold onto in the meantime. So we set out to build that.&nbsp; Noa&#39;s Place is now working to open a permanent hub in Calderdale. A home for inclusive play, sensory rooms, workshops, peer support groups and community events that are already helping neurodivergent and disabled children and their families feel less alone.&nbsp; Every pound raised brings that hub closer to reality and lets us reach more families who need somewhere to turn while they wait. For Noa&#39;s third birthday, We&#39;re asking you to help us build the place he inspired. For him, and for every family walking a similar path. &pound;5 opens a door. Noa's Place: The SEND Diary

Noa&#39;s Place is hosting its first ever live sensory sessions this summer for primary school aged children and their families. Sessions run for around 90 minutes in a thoughtfully zoned space divided into distinct areas; calm/retreat, active movement, and creative/focus, so children can move freely between environments based on their own needs in the moment. The focus is on low pressure, self directed exploration rather than structured activities, with trained staff supporting quietly in the background. Taking place at Halifax Family Hub, each session welcomes up to 6 families in a space designed to feel calm, flexible, and truly inclusive.
